Sedgwick Strategies Vice President and Director of Client Services Tanya Corbet is an experienced engagement and business advisor, board member and community leader. She brings over 20+ years of experience working with and leading First Nations, businesses and not-for-profits. A proud member of Tsawwassen First Nation, Tanya has worked at the intersection of building partnerships, intergovernmental relations, and economic reconciliation throughout her career. She is also a recipient of the King Charles Medal, recognizing her leadership and contributions to Indigenous communities.

Tanya is the current Board Chair for New Relationship Trust, an Indigenous led organization that is a capacity building catalyst for First Nations in BC.  She previously served as an elected Executive Councillor of the Tsawwassen First Nation Government and held leadership roles on its Treaty Team and Economic Development Corporation. In 2018, she was appointed as a Commissioner of the BC Treaty Commission by the First Nations Summit.

Tanya advises industry and Indigenous governments on reconciliation action planning, Indigenous relations, and inclusive economic development. Most recently, she played a key role in supporting the development of Canada’s first legislative Reconciliation Action Plan, released by the British Columbia Legislative Assembly in 2024.

Tanya is an active community member and has served on numerous boards at the local, provincial, and national levels. Tanya was a member of the Conservative Party’s Leadership Election Organizing Committee and was a federal election candidate in the riding of Delta in 2019.

She studied at the University of Northern British Columbia and holds a Public Relations Associate Certificate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Tanya resides on Tsawwassen First Nation lands with her husband, Matt, and their two children, Isabella and James.
