Assistant Commissioner (retired) Randy Beck has a diversified portfolio of domestic and international policing experience from over 36 years of service with the RCMP. He currently lives in Cochrane Alberta. He retired from the RCMP on Nov 10th, 2014.

In November of 2014, Randy began work with Kinder Morgan Canada, now Trans Mountain UCL providing strategic and tactical security advice, regarding public safety community partnerships regarding civil disobedience and protest action by eco-activists.

In November 2018, Randy was appointed as the Chief Security Officer for Trans Mountain UCL. The Trans Mountain Operations Security program and the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion Security programs were merged to one program.

On September 20th 2013, Randy was appointed as the Chairman of the Independent Commission on Policing (ICP) for the Bangsamoro Philippines, which is an autonomous region of the Philippines. The ICP was tasked to provide a report of recommendations for a new police model for the region. The Commission was made up of three international policing and justice experts, 4 national policing and regional experts. On April 14th, 2014, the report or recommendations was delivered to the Philippine Government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. 

From April 2012 to September 2013, Randy was the Criminal Operations Core Policing responsible for all Core RCMP operational policing in the Province of British Columbia. From 2008 to April 2012, he was the Chief Superintendent, Criminal Operations Officer for the RCMP in Saskatchewan. From 2006 to 2008, Randy was the Superintendent in charge of RCMP Contract Policing, Province of Alberta. 

Randy has received the Queens Golden Jubilee and Queens Diamond Jubilee Medals and in 2013 he received the Governor General of Canada Order of Merit in Policing; in 2014 he received the Association of Professional Executives, APEX award for Leadership.
