Kim is a changemaker in the field of sustainable procurement, dedicated to advancing Indigenous economic inclusion through systems-level transformation. As the Manager of Sustainable and Ethical Procurement at the City of Vancouver, Kim led the creation and implementation of the Social Value Procurement Framework—an approach that centers Indigenous participation, supplier diversity, equity and environmental responsibility in public purchasing. 

With a background in supporting Indigenous and social-purpose organizations to become businesses and suppliers, Kim now works to shift institutional practices—helping governments and public bodies become better buyers. Her work is grounded in reconciliAction, UNDRIP and a distinctions-based approach, its shaped through ongoing, respectful right relations with the local Nations and their economic development representatives. 

Kim’s guiding mantra—“leave it better than you found it”—reflects her commitment to creating positive impacts while building systems that honour Indigenous Rights and support community wealth-building.
