Josh Conrad is a multi-disciplinary Digital artist, and Art Director, as well as the founder of Slow of his small agency, Slow Studies Creative, based in Ts’elxwéyeqw (Chilliwack). Josh is Stó:lō // mixed European with strong Nlaka’pamux ties, and belongs to Chowéthel (Chawathil) First Nation in S’ólh Téméxw (our land, our world – so-called Fraser Valley) 

His visual mediums span 3D illustration, motion arts, projection mapping, installation, and augmented reality.  

Using bright colors, abstract shapes, and textures inspired by memories and the lush natural environment around him, he creates tactile, dreamlike worlds that blur the line between reality and imagination. He enjoys the collaborative and community building process of working with established and emerging creatives to help bring their works into the Augmented realm, where they can amplify their story in a way that is immersive and shareable through social platforms. 

Josh also founded Spark Indigenous, a 100% Indigenous led AR/VR/XR learning program aimed at promoting and educating Indigenous creators across Turtle Island through annual online workshops on the topics of Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Immersive experience.  His goal is to demystify and remove barriers to creative technologies By introducing free and accessible creator softwares to IBOPC creatives looking to expand their practice into this space.
