Joey-Lee Morigeau is a proud Métis and an accomplished Indigenous human resources leader with over 17 years of experience spanning non-profits, automotive, Indigenous government, education, and the construction industry. Throughout her career, she has built and led high-performing HR teams, developed and restructured departments, and implemented people-first policies and processes aligned with organizational vision and mission. 

As Director of Human Resources at the Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC), Joey-Lee leads the HR team in advancing corporate priorities in recruitment and retention, performance management, health and safety, employee training and development, and the integration of TNDC’s core values into everyday practice. 

Before joining TNDC, Joey-Lee held progressive leadership roles including Director of Human Resources at E4C, Director of Human Resources & Corporate Services and Manager of Human Resources & Corporate Administration at the Métis Nation of Alberta, Director of Human Resources and Staff Development for Rupertsland Institute Alumni, and HR Manager at Legacy Automotive Group. 

Joey-Lee holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CHRP), and a Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP). She is also an elected representative of the New Dawn Métis Women’s Society and has contributed her voice to the CPHR magazine, sharing insights on Indigenous HR leadership.
