With 22 years of banking expertise, Barbara brings a deep understanding and knowledge to her role at Scotiabank. With experience across Commercial, Wealth Management and Integrated Markets, her career spans many communities across Canada, with a particular focus on the North.

As Director of Indigenous Financial Services, Barbara leads strategic initiatives in Indigenous Economic Reconciliation and Business Development with Indigenous Communities Coast to Coast to Coast. She works across Scotiabank to foster collaboration and provide guidance, bridging Community priorities and the bank.

Passionate about community engagement, Barbara has been a board member of Rotary clubs, is a former Chair Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village, and a volunteer at multiple Friendship Centres.

Barbara is Métis Cree, and a proud member of the Métis Nation of Northwest Territories. Barbara enjoys exploring cultural interests through travel, live music, and literature, and is happiest in, on or around water.
