Vanessa Dreckmann is a proud Anishinaabe Ikwe of the Ma’iingan (Wolf) Clan and a member of Red Rock Indian Band in Northwestern Ontario. With more than 30 years of experience in Indigenous engagement, strategic partnerships, and facilities management, she is passionate about advancing economic reconciliation through collaboration and authentic relationships. 

As Manager of Indigenous Engagement at BGIS and Co-Owner of TIPI HORSE and TIPIHORSE TURNKEY, Vanessa works to strengthen partnerships between Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations. She is recognized for her collaborative leadership and commitment to advancing Indigenous inclusion, economic empowerment, and reconciliation through partnership and dialogue. 

In addition to her work, Vanessa serves as Vice-Chair on the Town of Whitby’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee, where she helps advance initiatives that promote Indigenous inclusion, cultural understanding, and community engagement.
