Tim is proud member of Nipissing First Nation and has worked in the business services industry for more than 25 years. His roles varied from management of teams to client facing positions, in commercial banking and corporate trust services. He has experience in business development, negotiation strategies and building capacity with the Indigenous community and Indigenous associations. Currently, Tim is the National Director, Indigenous Strategies with Chandos Construction with a national mandate to work with all Chandos’ district offices across Canada. His role involves enhancing Indigenous cultural awareness within Chandos, attracting and retaining Indigenous talent and building capacity by developing meaningful and respectful relationships to help create wealth in Indigenous communities and businesses. Tim is a former Board member of the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation in Ontario. From 2013 to 2019, he volunteered with his community as an off-reserve Community Trustee with the Nipissing 2013 Boundary Claim Trust. In May 2019, Tim successfully completed the AFOA Harvard Business School program – Leading People and Investing to Build Sustainable Communities. Tim has been a board member with the Anishnawbe Health Foundation, in Toronto, since 2019. He also volunteers his time on the Board of Directors with CCAB (Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business) which he joined in June 2020.
