We don’t just talk about reconciliation.
We live it.

Every action we take is grounded in reciprocity, respect, and Indigenous-led knowledge. This is the heart behind Forward Summit.

Our values in action

We’re proud to walk alongside Indigenous leaders, Elders, and communities – not just during our events, but every day. Our commitment is more than words – it’s reflected in how we allocate our resources, share our platform, and build relationships rooted in trust and respect.

Here are just a few of the ways we give back and show up in alignment with our values.

Forward Summit is more than a gathering. It’s a movement grounded in respect, led by community, and built with heart.
We stand with those healing from the legacy of residential schools and gender-based violence. Through our support for the Legacy of Hope Foundation and the Moose Hide Campaign, we amplify truth, awareness, and action. At every Forward Summit, we donate booth space to the Legacy of Hope Foundation and make financial contributions to support their mission of education and awareness. We also support the Moose Hide Campaign by purchasing Moose Hide pins and offer them—free of charge—to every delegate, spreading awareness while contributing financially to a movement rooted in safety and respect.
When Indigenous leaders share their stories, knowledge, and spirit, we respond with respect and reciprocity. Every Indigenous speaker—including those that are Elders, Chiefs, and Knowledge Keepers—are offered a symbolic honorarium as a gesture of gratitude and in recognition of the traditional Indigenous way of teaching and learning.
We choose to amplify Indigenous voices. That’s why we do not pay non-Indigenous speakers—redirecting those resources to uplift and invest in the communities we stand beside.
Culture lives in art, language, and tradition. At every event, we gift vendor space to Indigenous artisans and entrepreneurs, helping them grow their businesses and share their brilliance with the world.
Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. We provide access to an onsite psychologist at every Summit—creating safer, supported spaces for processing, reflection, and care.
Place matters. We host our events on Indigenous lands whenever possible—building deeper relationships, honouring protocol, and giving back to the Nations who welcome us.
We believe in putting our money where our values are. 22% of our procurement spend goes to Indigenous-owned businesses—more than four times the government’s 5% target.
And we’re just getting started. We’re actively growing our network and seeking new Indigenous partners to support, collaborate with, and champion.
Reconciliation isn’t just a word to us—it’s a commitment. To listen. To act. To walk in step with Indigenous communities, now and always.
