Testimonials

A one of a kind conference that cannot be missed by anyone who is working in the indigenous space or just trying to learn from the history and all the success stories. The conference provided a fresh perspective towards what can be achieved through dialogue, participation, partnerships, listening and compassion. The summit was not about business solutions or selling but was about creating meaningful dialogues and connections that will help create more opportunities and partnerships in the coming years. Bravo to the entire team for pulling this off so well! Looking forward to 2020!

As a non Indigenous business person looking to advance economic reconciliation, Forward Summit was a fantastic opportunity to learn what initiatives are in progress, how to get involved, and make new connections to Indigenous communities and allies. I highly recommend this important conference.

As a non-Indigenous professional, the Forward Summit gave me opportunity to learn and understand about economic reconciliation and what needs to be done to ensure that First Nations people are part of Canada's economic plan for sustainability and growth.

As an Indigenous business person, I was most pleased and found good value in the round table discussions in afternoon sessions. There were several very good presenters, many of whom were young talented Indigenous people. I thought the round table discussions had good participation by the people in the room, especially from Indigenous people speaking freely, sharing their experience and insights from historical and present day perspectives. This kind of interaction goes along way to meaningful truth and reconciliation.

By far, one of the best events of its kind. I have had the opportunity of being a guest speaker at many conferences, both in Canada and abroad. The Forward Summit had all the ingredients of a top-quality gathering - from the calibre of the speakers and presenters to the structure of the contents, the Forward Summit met the highest standards.

In an age where we only read about conflicts and failures in the media, it was incredibly refreshing and instructive to hear so many stories of successful business initiatives among our indigenous communities.

It was an honour to participate in the Forward Summit. I appreciated the stories, the different experiences and perspectives shared. Ultimately, economic reconciliation is a journey all participants are passionate about; it clearly resonates with those who were in attendance as well as with the businesses and institutions represented. This is an event I will promote among my circle.

The Forward Summit did an excellent job of bringing together industry and Indigenous initiatives in a way that allowed for discussion, connection and opportunity. It was well balanced to showcase how together, First Nation peoples and the Natural Resource sector can prosper together in ways built on respect and trust.
