Taylar Belanger is a Cree-Metis community member of Sakitawak located in Northern Saskatchewan.  

Currently in the final year of receiving her practical herbalist diploma, Taylar is working towards becoming a licensed Naturopathic Doctor where she can utilize her knowledge in plant medicine, naturopathy and energy work in land-based settings. She is also the coordinator for a land-based healing & education project in her community and also works as a coordinator for the Northern Indigenous Women’s Network for a project called Raising Their Voices which focuses on building a network of peer support to identify the issues that are creating barriers to indigenous women, the LGBTQIA2S+ community and marginalized voices in Northern Saskatchewan.  

Taylar is developing a variety of on-going projects such as food sovereignty, nutrition and herbalism education, and establishing a local healing lodge for her community and surrounding area.  

Connecting with the land and medicine that surround her, she is especially grateful to experience and share the knowledge with her son Leowolf.
