Michael has almost fifteen years of experience effectively managing social, reputational and operational risks associated with major projects in North America and throughout the developing world. Currently Head of Indigenous Relations with LNG Canada, a joint venture of Shell, Petronas, PetroChina, KOGAS and Mitsubishi Corporation that will design, build and operate a liquefied natural gas export terminal in Kitimat, B.C. LNG Canada is the single largest private sector investment project in Canadian history. In his current role Michael leads a team of relationship managers, advisors and consultants, and is responsible for all matters related to consultations, negotiations, strategies, and relationship-management with Indigenous Peoples.
