Candice Davis is described as high-energy, entrepreneurial spirited and passionate about Indigenous advocacy, project management and change management. Ms. Davis has held various leadership roles in the legal, construction and oil and gas industries over the last 23 years. For the last two decades Candice has created and/or led four Project Management Offices that have supported the development and delivery of over $1.5 billion in capital projects. Through the planning and execution of major Canadian infrastructure projects, Candice has had the honor of learning from and working with Indigenous stakeholders. Currently, Candice is management consultant, instructor and Founder of Bellyfire.
Ms. Davis has instructed at a number of post secondary institutions. She currently teaches at Mount Royal University and SAIT. In addition to teaching at Mount Royal University, Candice has led the curriculum development of two new project management certificates; Applied Project Management and Construction Project Management and Chaired the Project Management Advisory Committee. Candice was also a member on the University of Alberta, School of Business Executive Education Advisory Committee.
Candice completed her Bachelor of Management degree from the University of Lethbridge. Candice is also a graduate from Stanford University in Strategic Decision Analysis and Risk Management. Candice holds her Project Management Professional designation as well as a Change Management Certification. She is a graduate from the Canadian Board Diversity Council Program.
From 2015 – 2016 Candice was the Conference Chair for the Project Management Institute Professional Development Conference. Candice received her Fellowship from the Project Management Institute for her contribution to the project management profession for the last fifteen years. She has received a Distinguished Teaching Award from Mount Royal University and was an Award Finalist, Distinguished Individual Excellence in Project Management from the Project Management Institute Southern Alberta Chapter. She was named a Top 100 Protégée in the Women’s Top 100 Most Powerful Mentoring Program by the Women’s Executive Network in 2012 and 2017.
