Sarah Jacknife is a proud member of Elizabeth Metis Settlement located in Treaty 6 and has Metis, Cree, Scottish, and German ancestry. In September 2022, she started working with Rogers as the Senior Manager of Indigenous Community Engagement. Before taking on this role, Sarah worked internationally in municipal government in Aotearoa/New Zealand and spent over half a decade supporting Indigenous students in post-secondary. Sarah is also the principal and owner of Jacknife Consulting and advises clients across Canada on Indigenous policy review, curriculum development, and strategy development. Sarah is a member of the Canadian Indigenous Leadership Circle and the Calgary Aboriginal Urban Affairs Committee. She also enjoys writing and CBC, The Global and Mail, and the Calgary Herald have all published her work. Sarah holds a Master of Public Policy specializing in Indigenous Policy from the University of Calgary and resides in Calgary in Treaty 7.
