Sara Jane Souliere is Anishinaabe from Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory along with family ties in Serpent River First Nation.  She is the founder of SL Indigenous Advisory Services, a 100% Indigenous-owned consulting practice grounded in cultural values, respect, and relationship-building. With over 18 years of experience in Indigenous relations, energy, and law, Sara Jane has dedicated her career to bridging the gaps between Indigenous communities, government institutions, and the corporate sector. 

Sara Jane’s approach is rooted in her lived experience as the daughter of two residential school survivors and in her deep commitment to improving outcomes for Indigenous Peoples. She has worked alongside Indigenous communities across Ontario and beyond, always centering community voices in meaningful engagement, consultation, and partnership processes. 

Her work spans a wide range of sectors including clean energy, infrastructure, municipal planning, and economic development. She has led Indigenous engagement on major transmission line projects, supported negotiations on partnership agreements, advised on reconciliation strategies, and helped shape Indigenous participation plans and policies for public and private organizations. 

Sara Jane holds a Bachelor of Law with a focus on Aboriginal law and a Master of Law in Energy and Infrastructure from Osgoode Hall Law School. She is also a recent graduate of the Tribal Leaders Program at Harvard Business School.
