My name is Samuel Charal and I am Turtle Clan from Tkaronto, Ontario. My family is Nehiyaw from Treaty 1, on my Moshom’s side; Anishinaabe and French from outside of St. Benoit De Labre, Quebec, on my kokum’s side; and from my father’s side, I am Greek from Thessaloniki. I currently work at Actua as the Indigenous (InSTEM) Coordinator, but my work prior to Actua began in Wilderness Therapy and Land Based Education for at- risk, critically at- risk and neurologically at- risk youth in Animikii– Waajiw. Otherwise known as Thunder Bay, Ontario.
