Reg brings over 20 years of business development experience in working with Indigenous communities and organizations. A graduate of the University of Alberta with a BA in Native Studies, Reg is also a proud member of the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation.  Before joining with Backwoods, Reg worked for his Nation as the Economic Development Officer (EDO) for over 4 years, bringing his professional experience and knowledge to benefit his community.  In his time as the EDO, he brought to fruition a 30-year vision for his Nation by spearheading the development of the Nakota Crossing Petro Canada which is 100% owned by the community.  Reg’s experience includes Community Capacity Development; Public Relations, Building Strategic Partnerships, Operations Management and Organizational Development and Restructuring.
