Randi Ray is an accomplished founder and Managing Partner of Miikana, a First Nation-owned and operated boutique consulting firm and Noojimo Health (Canada’s first Indigenous Virtual Mental Health Clinic). As an Anishinaabe woman from Flying Post First Nation, Randi brings a deep, lived understanding of the diverse First Nations landscape within the province. She holds a Ph.D. from Nipissing University, with her research focused on leadership and capacity development in First Nations using an Indigenous framework and methodologies. Randi offers over 15 years of experience in community building and engagement, having successfully led more than 100 consulting projects that have benefited both First Nations and non-Indigenous organizations.  

 
Randi’s approach is grounded in the belief that fostering positive relationships between Indigenous communities and organizations, while addressing potential conflicting interests, is critical to Canada’s future. Her work is further distinguished by its respect for First Nations’ rights and cultural differences, as well as a deep understanding of colonialism and its ongoing impacts. Randi’s background provides a strong foundation for understanding the political landscape affecting First Nations, being raised by one of the longest-serving Chiefs in Ontario. She has a proven track record of working at the intersection of Indigenous communities, governments, and industry, demonstrating experience leading advisory 
engagements within highly complex stakeholder environments for both public and private sector clients. Most importantly, Randi is lucky enough to work and live alongside her partner in life, is a proud parent to a 12-year-old kwezhens and keeps her balance by coaching hockey and spending as much time as she can on the land.
