Preston Seier is a leader in public affairs and emergency management with over 16 years of experience building collaboration between industry, government, and Indigenous communities. As Director of Indigenous, Community, and Government Relations at H₂Safety Services, he leads initiatives that enhance safety, preparedness, and response strategies.

Preston is passionate about Indigenous-led emergency management and founded Indigenous Emergency Management (IEM) at H₂Safety, a specialized division of H₂Safety. IEM develops customized emergency response plans that integrate Indigenous knowledge and priorities. The program offers services like emergency response planning, health and safety integration, incident support, and training, utilizing advanced technology such as the H₂CommandCentre software for real-time emergency response.

For 21 years, H₂Safety has helped clients prepare for emergencies, ensuring lives are protected, incidents are stabilized, and the environment is preserved. Preston champions Indigenous-driven safety planning to build resilience and enhance community confidence.

Previously, Preston held key public affairs roles at TC Energy, where he gained extensive experience in Emergency Management, Community Investment, and fostering meaningful relationships through empathy and collaboration.

At Forward Summit, he will share insights on building meaningful partnerships in emergency management through Indigenous engagement and community-driven safety initiatives.
