Paul is a Métis Nation of Ontario citizen and Sr. Indigenous Relations Advisor to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative and Project Learning Tree Canada. Paul has a wealth of experience advancing Indigenous rights recognition, relationship building and socioeconomic development within numerous resource-based sectors, including sustainable forest management. Through his work, Paul fosters greater understanding and relationship between Indigenous rights-holders and the various actors operating within their territories, including industry and governments. Paul holds a Master of Science in Forestry from Lakehead University and a Forest Technician Diploma and Certificate in Aboriginal Canadian Relations from Confederation College.
In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.
