Michelle Toner is the Executive Director of the Northeastern Aboriginal Business Association (NAABA) in Fort McMurray, Wood Buffalo, where she champions the growth and competitiveness of Indigenous businesses. With a background in sport and wellness management, Michelle has held several leadership at organizations including Keyano College the 2018 Wood Buffalo Alberta Winter Games, and the 2023 Arctic Winter Games a major event that not only showcased cultural excellence and athletic achievement  but also brought significant economic benefits to the region.

An experienced leader in partnership building, Michelle is currently completing the Executive Masters of Business Administration program at the University of Alberta. She has a Graduate Degree in Human Kinetics, Sport Management from the University of Windsor, and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University. She is also a certified PROSCI change management practitioner.
