Michael Hebert is the founder, CEO, and driving force behind Turtle Island Technology Solutions Inc., an Indigenous-owned technology company dedicated to advancing Indigenous engagement in the technology sector. Leveraging over 24 years of experience in IT from technical delivery to executive leadership with national and global systems integrators, Michael has positioned Turtle Island Tech as a trusted partner to their many clients and public sector organizations. Turtle Island Tech is recognized for providing consulting, services, and delivery across a wide range of technology solutions including AI, datacenter and cloud, networking, and end-user computing with cybersecurity serving as the foundation for everything we deliver. 

In addition to leading Turtle Island Tech, Michael serves in a contract role as Senior Procurement Liaison for the Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq (CMM). In this capacity, he provides advisory support to Mi’kmaq communities, helping navigate federal procurement processes and build long-term capacity through strategic partnerships. 

A proud Cree professional, Michael is committed to community advancement, cultural integrity, and reconciliation through action. He also serves on the Board of Directors for both the Truro and Colchester Chamber of Commerce and Digital Nova Scotia, where he advocates for Indigenous inclusion, supplier diversity, and digital innovation. He resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
