Lucas King’s expertise lies at the intersection of sustainable development and natural resources governance. He has a dedicated focus on the development of equitable space and harmonization of knowledge systems, in which he strives to shape collaborative solutions through community engagement, education, negotiations, policy and team building. He is the Director of the Territorial Planning Unit at Grand Council Treaty #3 and has degrees in Environmental Science and Water Resources Engineering. From settler descent, Lucas’s passion stems from a strong relationship with Water specifically the Lake of the Woods. This passion and relationship guide him in supporting people, nations and the environment towards sustainability and reconciliation.
