Liz Dykman is the Team Lead for Indigenous Engagement and Support within the Offsets and Emissions Trading Section at Environment and Climate Change Canada’s (ECCC) Carbon Markets Bureau. She has worked on a variety of topics in the environmental field over the past 24 years, first in the non-profit sector and then with the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment before joining ECCC in 2018. In her current role, Liz leads work to facilitate participation of Indigenous peoples in Canada’s Greenhouse Gas Offset Credit System. She holds a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo. Liz is grateful to live and work on Treaty 1 territory in Winnipeg and has enjoyed canoe trips in the territories of Treaties 1, 2, 3 and 5 as well as Nunavut.
