Lauren is the founder and Principal Consultant of Sequoia Collaboration and Consulting, a boutique firm that focuses on leadership development, capacity building and educational curriculum development. She has nearly two decades of experience in human resources, Indigenous engagement and equity, diversity and inclusion and curriculum development predominantly within the post-secondary, non-profit, telecommunications and energy sectors. Lauren is Cree and mixed- European ancestry and is a citizen of Alexander First Nation in Treaty 6 territory.

Lauren uses a values-centric and intersectional approach to program development and project management and is guided by the ethical principles of reciprocity, responsibility, relevance and

respect. Lauren holds a Master of Arts in Global Leadership from Royal Roads University. She is a 3rd generation guest in Treaty 7 and Métis Nation districts 5 and 6. She and her partner enjoy spending time outdoors with their two children and two golden retrievers.
