Krista Maydew is no stranger to long term commitment in collaborative environments. In her 25-year career developing strategies and plans to support engagement and inclusion of local and Indigenous peoples in all aspects of projects, Krista has proven herself an advocate, readily embracing the limitless possibilities that come with the intersection of leadership and innovation. 

Krista is IAMGOLD’s Vice President External Affairs. She understands the impacts of development on the human environment through all stages of major projects and has worked within the context of various impact assessment processes within Canada and abroad. Part of the team that advanced the Côté Gold Mine, her work to reduce risk and secure regulatory approvals was driven by her authenticity, clear communication, inclusive engagement style, always striving to build relationships founded on transparency and trust.
