Biography

Currently, Kirsten is focused in the areas of Indigenous inclusion, diversity awareness, equity, and access in the workplace.

Kirsten has extensive experience as a program director with 12+ years of senior management experience in the areas of training & career development and Indigenous community development. Strongly versed in building partnerships through employer & industry relations, Kirsten is passionate about strengthening capacity through learning development, education, and training by building meaningful and strong relationships in and out of Indigenous community. She is highly experienced in creating and implementing training programs for Indigenous communities and working with various stakeholder groups. Kirsten is also the founder and former manager of the Stoney Nation Job Resource Center with experiences in operations management, program development, and tailoring training projects for her community.

Kirsten is a fluent Iyethka (Stoney Nakoda) speaker who is passionate about building up the workforce in community and organizational levels. Through her educational experiences, she is also experienced in Indigenous research methods, methodologies, and pedagogies.
