Karim Abraham is the CEO of Kambo Energy Group, a Vancouver-based, CAMSC certified, social enterprise dedicated to reducing energy poverty and improving housing in underserved communities, including Indigenous Nations, immigrants, and people of color. A lifelong entrepreneur, Karim believes in using business as a tool for social good.  Under his guidance, Kambo has developed a community-first approach that delivers practical, long-lasting solutions to improve living conditions and energy efficiency. 

Since 2009, Kambo Energy Group has partnered with over 60 Indigenous Nations across North America, upgrading thousands of homes and buildings, and helping secure over $15 million in funding for community-driven energy projects. Kambo’s unique combination of energy efficiency expertise and hands-on construction experience has allowed the company to create scalable solutions that tackle both housing and affordability issues in some of the most remote regions. 

Karim’s leadership is grounded in a deep commitment to equity and community empowerment. He and his team are driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to safe, comfortable, and affordable housing. By working directly with communities and designing programs based on their specific needs, Karim continues to lead Kambo in delivering impactful change.
