Meet Kaden.

My name is Kaden C. and I am in grade 11.  My family comes from the Pine Creek First Nation reserve, but I have lived in Mohkinstis my whole life. Outside of school, I work with my father doing drywall. In the future, I’d like to pursue a career in physics, which has been something I’ve been passionate about since I was young. I have always been interested in learning about the universe and the laws that govern it. My motivation for participating in the Forward Summit youth panel largely comes from my family, my siblings in particular, who all have learning disabilities. I’ve seen firsthand the struggle that comes with that and the lack of proper support that is provided. The inequity that marginalized people face in education is a very pressing and important issue that needs to be addressed. With the appropriate support, anyone can pursue their passions to the fullest extent, but that support is not widely available.
