Jonathan (he/him) is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in the financial sector. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility at the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). Jonathan is passionate about fostering inclusive work environments that drive business success, stronger community relationships, and a unique company culture. 

In his current role, Jonathan supports BDC’s mission to drive a coordinated approach to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. He is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that promote intersectionality, collaboration, and strategic planning for key employee engagement initiatives across the organization.    

From a young age, Jonathan has been deeply involved in community and diversity initiatives—it’s truly part of his DNA. Growing up in downtown Toronto, with diverse family roots, he was immersed in a vibrant community and a rich tapestry of religions, cultures, ethnicities, languages, sexuality, gender identities and expressions, people with disabilities, and varied economic backgrounds. This diverse environment has profoundly shaped his perspective and commitment to inclusion.
