Firman is an Indigenous project developer who is a proud First Nations member from Serpent River First Nation. He has devoted his professional career to supporting First Nation communities’ economic and business development. In his senior management and executive roles, he has built and managed governance structures that grew to oversee 100-plus employees in a variety of business operations, generating combined free cash flows exceeding $40 million annually. 

He has experience in business start-ups, First Nation-led industry negotiations, strategic business planning, business venture structuring, and project management, and has been actively involved in successfully raising capital for several renewable energy projects. Firman holds a Master of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce from Toronto Metropolitan University.
