Fiona Kirkpatrick Parsons is a passionate advocate for reconciliation and Indigenous inclusion in Canada. 

A nīhithaw-iskwīw (Woodland Cree woman) and proud member of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band with Scottish heritage, Fiona is committed to fostering authentic, kind, and meaningful reconciliation. Her leadership has been instrumental in corporate Canada, where she spearheaded efforts leading to the first reconciliation action plan at the largest professional services firm in Canada in June 2020. 

In her own consultancy, she holds concurrent fractional roles as Senior Advisor, Indigenous (External) with Empire Sobeys; Senior Advisor, Reconciliation and Strategy with Creative Fire; and Truth & Reconciliation Strategy Advisor with the United Nations Association in Canada. She has also been co-investigator on two key research studies with respect to the Indigenous economy in the Atlantic region. 

Fiona brings her deep expertise in Indigenous engagement to help organizations build stronger, more inclusive practices. She inspires Canadians to walk the path of reconciliation together through her work as a keynote speaker, panelist, and media guest. 

A lifelong volunteer, Fiona’s current roles include serving as a Board Director with the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business, 2025 Canada Games, and she is on the Community Grants Committee with the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia. She also chaired the 2023 North American Indigenous Games in Halifax, which was the largest multi-sport and cultural event in Atlantic Canada’s history, since contact. Fiona has been honoured as an inaugural recipient of Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Business Award (2021), a PowHERhouse Impact Media Group National Changemaker, and 2021 Women Against Multiple Sclerosis (WAMS) Atlantic Honouree. 

Her work helps bring people together, creating real conversations and actions that make a difference in both Indigenous and corporate communities across Canada.
