Diane is a member of Norway House First Nation in Manitoba, and she currently resides in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Diane has a Bachelor of Arts Undergraduate Degree from the University of Winnipeg and a Certificate in Human Resources from the University of Manitoba. Diane is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) professional both in her region and in tribal areas in United States of America. Diane has worked in the area of Human Resources specializing in Indigenous Human Resources, for over twenty-five (25) years both in the corporate sector as well as the Indigenous communities.

Diane holds professional designations in Human Resources and is also a member in good standing with professional memberships in her province and in United States of America. She received her Bachelor of Arts Undergraduate Degree from the University of Winnipeg in 1991. In Spring 2002, the University of Manitoba Continuing Education conferred upon Diane her Certificate in Human Resources. In October of the same year, she was granted her Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) Designation from HRMAM, (now CPHR). Diane went on to complete her Mediation Certificate through Mediation Services in May 2005. Diane is a member of HRMAM and was co-chair of this Aboriginal Initiative.  This initiative led to HRMAM signing an MOU with AMC to increase the awareness of the available aboriginal workforce and work towards creating opportunities.  Internationally, Diane is a member of the National Native American Human Resource Association (NNAHRA) and received her Tribal Human Resource Professional (THRP) Certificate June 2011. Diane is a trained workplace investigator and has conducted investigations in the area of Respectful Workplace.  Diane has developed and delivered workshops on various topics across Canada and the United States. 

Diane is the founder of the national Human Resource Association called the Canadian Aboriginal Human Resource Management Association (CAHRMA). The vision is to be a driving force to build better work environments for the Aboriginal communities to facilitate profitable and sustainable companies and offer a source – the association, to Indigenous peoples across Canada, providing HR practitioners with similar issues while building relationships to address the challenges and strengthen their communities. The Association will offer a venue for networking, connections and education that blends HR practice with Indigenous culture to assist Indigenous peoples establishing their business practices in the Canadian community. This association is dedicated to the development of human resources for our Indigenous communities. This association will also create a certificate program that will develop Indigenous human resource professionals that work for and in our communities; an area that is much needed however has limited resources of certified human resource professionals.
