As Director for Community and Indigenous Projects, David’s unique role lies at the intersection between community engagement and engineering design, in which Indigenous visions, goals, and aspirations for in-community infrastructure projects are transformed into reality. David resides in Hatch’s Community Engagement practice and supports the development of locally and culturally appropriate projects with community vision at the forefront. David is a civil engineer with a broad range of technical, management and business experience developed in engineering consulting over the last 14 years. He has managed engineering teams in municipal, buildings, heavy haul rail, municipal, site development, LRT, and bridges. He has experience in all phases of project execution from conception & feasibility through to preliminary and detailed design, construction, and commissioning. David’s experience also includes leadership in multi-functional and multi-disciplinary environments, process design, organizational design and development, change management, and team building. David has extensive experience with Project Management of projects of a variety of sizes and places a high value on client focus and project success.
