Tansi, I am Darian Milton, a member of Mikisew Cree First Nation; however, I’ve lived on Fort Mcmurray First Nation. I am a First Nation youth with knowledge of the land and the ways my elders taught me. I graduated from Bill Woodward High School in 2024. I am currently attending the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology for my First year as a Heavy Equipment Technician. Outside of my studies, I work for a local First Nation called Fort McMurray First Nation Group of companies, where I’ve worked since 2022. My Goal is to become a dual ticketed Red Seal Journeyman in the trade. In my free time, I like to support the community by volunteering with our local Fire department in Anzac and have been doing so since 2023. I’ve always had a love for the land and its teachings.
