Connor Scheu is a lifelong agent of change who seeks to bring humility to his position of allyship within equity, diversity, and inclusion spaces.

As a Metis engineer with a specialization in renewable energy Connor has a passion to advance a sustainable energy future and protect our planet. As a white passing male who was raised in a matriarchal setting, Connor knows that he must leverage his privilege to ensure that future is also safe for all people to be themselves.

These two motivations drive Connor’s engagement with the Engineering profession via the APEGA Women in Engineering Advisory Group and the Engineers Canada Indigenous Advisory Committee. Connor also brings this passion to his workplace as co-chair of the Suncor Indigenous Employee Network. Lastly Connor seeks to support the upcoming generation of change makers as selections lead and board member of United World College Canada.

Through awareness and authentic relationship building Connor believes that it is possible to have our professions and corporations play a meaningful role in changing the way Canadians think and act, advancing our journey of reconciliation.
