Meet Carrie!
Biography
Carrie Manitopyes is Saulteaux/Cree from the Muskowekwan First Nation, SK. She is the Human Resources Manager at the Grey Eagle Resort & Casino where her main focus is delivering successful outcomes for First Nation employees and facilitating cultural competency training for all levels of the organization. Carrie’s experience includes working closely with the Tsuut’ina Nation Chief & Council and in the oil and gas, utility and banking industries.
Carrie graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Workplace Learning and is a member of the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) of Alberta. She received the Women of Inspiration Award for Indigenous Leadership from the Universal Women’s Network, as well as the Canadian First Nation Gaming Award for Leadership from the Canadian Gaming Summit. In her spare time, Carrie is an avid ultra-marathon runner.
