Bryanne Smart (she/her) is a proud member of the Six Nations of the Grand River, Seneca Nation, Turtle Clan. With more than 20 years of experience, she has built her career at the intersection of Indigenous leadership, organizational transformation, and reconciliation, working alongside Indigenous communities, organizations, governments, and institutions to create meaningful and lasting change.

As Senior Reconciliation Consultant at NVision Insight Group, Bryanne leads complex initiatives that help organizations across Canada move from commitments to action. She partners with national organizations, Crown corporations, post-secondary institutions, healthcare organizations, municipalities, and Indigenous communities to advance reconciliation through Indigenous engagement, strategic planning, governance, policy development, facilitation, and organizational change. Her work is grounded in Indigenous ways of knowing and being, with a strong belief that authentic relationships are the foundation for sustainable change.

Bryanne is also a respected governance leader. Following six years as Board Chair, she now serves as Past Chair of the Board for De dwa da dehs nye>s Aboriginal Health Centre and is Vice-Chair of the Board of the Canadian Mental Health Association Ontario Division. She is passionate about strengthening Indigenous governance and supporting organizations in building respectful, reciprocal relationships with Indigenous Peoples.

Prior to joining NVision, Bryanne served as Associate Director of Indigenous Relations at the University of Waterloo, where she helped advance institutional reconciliation and Indigenous workforce initiatives and built relationships with several community and industry partners for co-op placements.

Bryanne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Administration, and a Master’s degree in Aboriginal Education and Leadership. She is recognized for creating spaces that foster honest dialogue, bridge diverse perspectives, and inspire practical action toward reconciliation.
