Bren is the CEO and President for Little Light Consulting working closely with First Nations, Government, and Industry. She is a Siksika First Nation member of the Blackfoot Confederacy. She has been doing this work for the last 20 years working with First Nations across Canada. 

Bren was assisting Vertex Resources Inc on the Site Reclamation Program however she was moved to do Community Engagement for their Business Development department and Bren is currently participating in the delicate work of recovering Residential Schools Unmarked Graves by assisting Alberta First Nations with the Residential Schools Community funding grant. She has partnered up with Fund Writers who work on GOA grants and have experience working with GOA. She has successfully able to get support letters from Alberta Chiefs to extended the deadline to Feb 15, 2022. 

Bren assisted with the Indigenous Court for Calgary Court of Queen’s Bench as a consultant. Bren was the Director, Indigenous Relations for Calgary Homeless Foundation and worked on their Indigenous Strategy. Bren assisted Siksika First Nation as the Crime Prevention Coordinator to deal with their Opioid Crisis.  

Bren was a Caseworker for the Canadian Red Cross and she worked directly with the Fort McMurray fire. She also held positions as Director, Business and Relationship Development, Aboriginal Communities, with Paramount Structures and Aboriginal Relations Coordinator with ATCO Structures and Logistics. Bren also had a successful career as a Legal Assistant with Siksika Justice Society of Alberta. Bren holds a Diploma as a Paralegal, Pipeline 101, Industry Overview, and a Certificate in Aboriginal Relations Leadership.  She has worked extensively throughout her career to build and maintain positive and effective relationships between Aboriginal communities and non-Aboriginal organizations.
